§    Team lead and night time single point of contact for a national DS1 and DS3 optimization and grooming effort.  This includes verifying the current and target network design, tracking projects through provisioning, generating procedural documentation and monitoring the cutover during the maintenance window.

§    Provided Granite designs and Granite Works tickets for MTSO operations, the Mobility MTTC and MNRC support teams for e911 LMUs, SONUS, and Packet Core network elements.   . 

§    Verified DACs cross connects (Tellabs 5500, 532L and ALU 1670/2) and if necessary made updates to database designs to align with the carrier and physical network elements. 

§    Coordinated MTSO and NOC operations with LEC testers and central office technicians for the final maintenance window work.

§    Provided the management team with a dashboard that tracks sixteen project managers’ nightly groom results and their overall performance.

§    From 2011 to 2012, designed and managed complete ETTC/FTT (Ethernet/Fiber to the Cell) builds from provisioning through integration per the CIQ. This included implementing BTS equipment, processing VLANs, R2A, R2B and R4B Migrations as well as assisting outside vendors on the test and turn up of new NodeBs.

§    Provided team leadership and coordination with field ops for the SIAD redeployment, replacing the Tellabs 8605s with ALU 7705s market wide.

§    Acted as the Market SME for Telcordia’s Granite suite for multiple departments throughout my tenure, providing technical and practical mentoring.  

§    Project managed the Philly/HARLY Granite Change Request to Remedy CTS initiative and acted as Market SPOC for the pilot program to improve performance and response time between the MNRC/NOC and east coast operations teams.

§    In 2010 Supported NP&E with the Surge Project.  Prepared toy cell equipment and core paths for test and turn-up and assisted the switch ops teams with troubleshooting efforts during the Ethernet migrations to new RNCs. 

§    Provided full project coordinator support for the 2009 UMTS Reparenting Project.  This included timeline updates, revisions, hosting the go-no-go call and creating DACS cut sheets for the core operations team.  Also oversaw the new Tellabs 8860 MSN and Cisco 9370 RNC equipment build in the Granite database to support HSPA+.

§    Collaborated with the northeast region’s senior management team to track 2008’s national grooming effort to reduce network capacity costs, improve performance and maximize existing facilities during a yearlong network cost savings exercise.  The new network plan required that our team roll over 250 old DS3/OCXs to achieve 80% utilization.

§    Coordinated with operations and equipment engineering to design and load the Philadelphia market’s TruePosition E911 LMUs, SMLCs and TDOA equipment. Later provided technical expertise to the Philly SCOUT team and supported the WABA market by automating their Alltel Zodiac LMU data load.

§    In 2005, Project managed the site acquisition and RBS data-fill for almost 1000 sites in CSS, CASPR and Granite to support the Cingular/AT&T integration. 

§    Actively participated in the national ‘Gold Standard’ committee meetings to establish and document Cingular and AT&T’s new Granite/Xng/ED policies and standards.  

§    Guided Alcatel-Lucent during the 2004 Transport Network Optimization (TNO) Audit and collected equipment and circuit data from the Syracuse and Philadelphia MTSOs by physically tracing circuits from the LGX/DSX panels and cross checking the DACS ports for traffic.

§    Maintained Granite for the NYMTA.  This included building MSC locations in Wayne, NJ, Bohemia, NY and creating two new floors of core switch equipment in Manhattan, NY.

ATX Corecomm Communications, Inc. (Bala Cynwyd, PA)

§    Implemented the Granite database for ATX/Corecomm's Northeast market.  This included designing templates and loading the company’s core switching equipment for their locations in Philadelphia, PA and Herndon, VA. 

§    Provided training and support for the provisioning staff and network employees on Granite's XperCom and XperWeb applications.

 

 

AT&T Wireless (Bensalem, PA)

§    Project managed over 300 new site builds from Bechtel’s initial site inquiry through Gate 2 testing with the Philadelphia MTSO.  Coordinated successfully with AT&T Wireless/LNS, Bechtel and other turnkey vendors to meet the build plan for multiple projects simultaneously - GSM, TDMA, and Microwave.

§    Designed an early SONET network in Southern New Jersey with Comcast Business Solutions.  This also included provisioning DSX circuits from Verizon through the Carrier Services Gateway (CSG), as well as directly through ILECs

 

 

Yipes Communications, Inc. (Bala Cynwyd, PA)

April 2000 – February 2001

 

§    Designed Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN, WAN) for a Tech start up.  This included the installation, testing and turn-up of Gigabit Ethernet switch equipment, integrating existing lit backhaul services and performing OSP duties.

§    Conducted initial network verification tests and troubleshooting for customers during final fiber splicing and network turn-up on Juniper and Extreme Networks equipment.  Created documentation to support turn-ups and the troubleshooting process.
